# How to connect Drake to Filed

## Best Practice: Installing the Filed Sync App

The Filed Sync App functions on any workstation. However, if that computer is restarted, logged out, or goes offline, the Sync App may need to be reopened before syncing resumes. An always-on machine is recommended, though multi-machine installation is possible.
