# Diagnostic 49842 — The amount of withholding must equal the amount of withholding reported on Form S

## Issue Description

Users encounter diagnostic error 49842 in CCH Axcess Tax, with the message stating:

> "The amount of withholding must equal the amount of withholding reported on Form(s) W-2, Schedule(s) K-1, Form(s) 1099, Form(s) W-2G and Form 8959, line 24 for electronic filing."

## Resolution Steps

1. Open Return Manager and select the affected return.
2. Navigate to the **Utilities** menu.
3. Click the **Rebuild** option.
4. Select **Continue**, then **OK**.
5. Open the rebuilt return (now marked "V2").
6. Execute the **Recalc** function.
