# How Filed integrations work

Filed enables live, two-way connections with document and practice management systems including Canopy, Karbon, TaxDome, Google Drive, and SharePoint. The system automatically synchronizes new files in real time without requiring manual uploads.

***

## Setup Process

We'll help you set up the live connection during onboarding. The process typically takes less than 30 minutes and requires you to log in to your DMS/PMS account from within Filed and grant secure admin access.

**Pro tip:** Using clear, consistent naming conventions for your files and folders helps ensure data clarity and makes it easier for your team to find what they need quickly.

## How the Integration Functions

Filed creates a bidirectional, live connection with your DMS/PMS system. The platform detects new or updated files instantly and syncs them to Filed, keeping your workspace current and consistent.

During setup, users choose which folders Filed should access. Only content from those selected locations gets synchronized, giving users complete control over connected data.

***

## Adding New Documents

No extra steps needed — Filed automatically detects and syncs any new documents added to the connected folders. Everything updates in real time without additional configuration.

***

## Supported Platforms

Current live integrations include:

* Canopy
* Karbon
* TaxDome
* Google Drive
* SharePoint

For unsupported systems, Filed offers manual file upload functionality as an alternative. The company continues expanding its integration offerings.
